Neymar ‘World’s Best’ Says Tite<
Brazil coach Tite says that on current form Neymar is the best footballer in the world. The Barcelona forward is enjoying another outstanding season for club and country, taking his game to a new level during the campaign.
And his national team manager thinks that he is outstripping Messi and Ronaldo at the moment. Speaking to Associated Press, Tite purred, “In the last four months, the best is Neymar,” though he admitted that over the last decade, there is no doubting Ronaldo and Messi’s dominance.
Neymar relinquished the Seleção captaincy when Tite arrived as coach last year, with Tite opting to rotate the armband. Neymar took his turn to captain again during last month’s 3-0 win over Parguay in São Paulo and responded with a goal and another excellent display.
“I told him I wanted him to feel comfortable in that role," Tite said, adding that Neymar replied: "'You can count on me. I'm ready.'"
