Paulinho Coveted By Bayern, According to Reports

Chelsea legend Didier Drogba says that Antonio Conte has helped bring the spirit back into the Chelsea camp and he has highlighted the signing of David Luiz as a crucial part of that. Luiz rejoined the club in the summer after 3 years away with Paris Saint Germain.

Luiz has not always enjoyed a good reputation in England, where Sky pundit Gary Neville once said he defended as though “he was being controlled by a ten year old kid on the Playstation.” But the Brazilian has formed part of a back 3 that has been the cornerstone of Chelsea’s campaign.

The Blues lead the Premier League table by seven points with seven games remaining and Drogba said, “They’ve got the spirit back," Drogba told the Mirror, “To have players like David Luiz back, bringing his experience, he knows the club already.

“Gary Cahill, Eden, Diego, Matic, Azpilicueta — all these guys have already won titles. There’s a kind of continuity. It was a smart move to bring David Luiz back to the Bridge when at first people were saying they shouldn’t. I knew what he could bring to the club.”
