Dani Alves Hints At Manchester City Move, As Juve Exit Nears

Brazilian right-back Dani Alves has refused to deny suggestions that he will imminently be joining Manchester City. Alves is currently negotiating a deal to release himself from the last year of his Juve contract.

The 34 year old joined the Old Lady last summer after 8 years at Barcelona, initially on a 2 year contract. But he has asked to be released from the final year of his deal, with a move to City to join former coach Pep Guardiola strongly rumoured to be on the cards.

In an interview with Brazilian TV channel Conversa com Bial, Alves was coy about his future, “Leaving Juve on a free transfer? I don't know what's happening yet

“Have I asked to leave? I've left the work to my agents, and they've said they'd talk to me once they found a resolution. If I go, it'll be without any conflicts, without any problems, as opposed to what's being said."

When pressed on whether he expected to join his former Barcelona coach at City, Alves said, “Well, everyone knows my admiration for Pep Guardiola."
