Everton attacker Ross Barkley admits that he takes inspiration from Liverpool rival Philippe Coutinho. The two players operate in a similar position and the Toffees player has said that he studies the Brazilian’s game to help him to improve.
Barkley told the Daily Mail, “I look at my game, I look at other players. I look at people who play in my position. And I try to see what they are doing differently and what I could do better.
“Players like Ozil, Coutinho, Silva. Players like Kaka. The masters of what they do. I look at their end product, their assists, their goals."
Barkley has progressed under Everton manager Ronald Koeman, striking up a good understanding with Belgian forward Romelu Lukaku
