Jô Talks About Manchester City and Everton Spells

Italian giants Juventus have confirmed that they are discussing a deal with Brazilian right-back Dani Alves to release him from his contract. Alves joined the Turin club from Barcelona last summer, but looks set to cut his stay in Serie A short.

Juventus chief executive Giuseppe Marotta said, “We’re not talking about a breakdown in the relationship, it’s motivation that is fundamental for players.

“Alves has realised he has a desire to try a new experience, so we’re trying to reach a mutual termination of his contract and we wish him good luck.

“There’s certainly sadness because of what’s been said, but I can confirm there’s been no breakdown in our relationship.”

The 34-year old is widely speculated to be joining ex-Barca boss Pep Guardiola at Manchester City. He did initially sign a two year deal with Juve, but reports suggest that he is eager to join his ex-mentor in Manchester.
