Ronaldinho signs for Flamengo, gets a hero's welcome!
Ronaldinho, formerly the greatest player in the world, and currently, a pretty-good though possibly overweight footballer recently joined Flamengo in Brazil from AC Milan, as The Telegraph reports:
The former Ballon d'Or winner has signed a four-year deal with the Brazilian club after a disappointing spell with AC Milan.
After the welcome, which was comparable to Zico's return from Italy in 1985, Ronaldinho vowed to win his place back in the Brazilian squad after being overlooked for the 2010 World Cup.
He said: "I want to take the name of Flamengo as high as possible, winning as many titles as possible and repaying the love of the fans, I want to give them happiness.
"I didn't expect such a big party. I'm proud to have got such a reception and to be compared with Zico."
